The newest of our 3 lakes and probably the most fun! This 30 year old established gravel pit is lined with trees and mature borders. It is 8 acres in size and has an average depth of 3.5 meters. The swims are set along one bank with the facing bank being out of bounds. This causes a natural haven for the fish with multiple catches coming from its’ margin.


This lake bursts into life in very early spring and continues well into December with the fish showing themselves frequently. No problems in locating them at all! During this winter we have treated the lake with an anti-weed chemical so this coming summer it should be a lot clearer to fish in.

Fish stocks are very high in this lake with the average stamp of fish being a little smaller than the other 2, however, there is a very large head of 30lbs+ fish and a few surprise 40lbs+ too! We have stocked the lake with over 2½ tons of carp from local sources and some quality “slate grey” fish from Belgium.

During the winter 2007 we have re-treated the weed with an anti-weed chemical. This will be the second year in a row we have done this. Along with another ½ tonne of quality young carp added in december, we expect the weed in 2008 to be demolished.

We are also fortunate to have acquired this lake with a great stock of Grass carp. These have been viewed in the summer and are really quite stunning! The largest out so far only goes to 40lbs but there are many in there that will go over the 50lbs barrier! As with Bill's Lake 1 this lake offers the angler a chance to fish the mighty River Marne. The river borders the site and is available to fish at a small cost. This river has produced some really big fish and big gear is needed to bank these awesome fighting Carp!

Whether you're a novice to French angling or a seasoned pro Bill's lake 3 has something to offer everyone. This lake accommodates up to 6 anglers max with 8 pegs to choose from, 2 being suitable for doubles. The lake is let for group or individual bookings being on a drive and survive basis. Due to a few teething problems last year we now require a small deposit for the lake (£50) which will be refunded when we have checked the lake before your departure.

We provide Toilets on site and hot shower for you to use at your convenience 24 hours a day and as with the other lakes we visit each day to see how you’re doing.

The rendezvous time for this lake is 2 p.m. at the main lake, Bill’s Lake 1 where we will meet you and greet you and escort you to the lake. If you arrive early then you can wait in the car park or nip off and do some shopping at the local shops
