Bills Lake 1
The seasons are slowly changing with a few of the plants around the lake starting to bud. The fish are slowly coming out of their winter slumber and a few have been seen moving and feeding.
We are continuing to feed during the winter and this we think has been worthwhile as the weather this winter has been a lot more mild than usual. As I write, I remember that this time last year we had 6" of thick ice on the lake, which lasted for 2 weeks.

This year it's clear blue skies and a bitterly cold North wind. The fish are moving and all's well ! We feed every 2 days at the 2 lakes and gradually we are putting more and more food in. We have an automatic "spinner" on Bill's Lake 1 which doses about 300 grams of pellet six times a day. What a piece of kit ! This along with 20/30 kgs of Maize and Wheat mixture keeps the fish fat and healthy. By the end of the month we will start to introduce the boilies into their diet and then it's over to you guys to come and feed them even more!

The new baits from Ace Baits have arrived and are in my cellar…..what a pong ! The strongest is the Squidberry which has a sweet sickly smell and then after a while you get a whiff of the Fish Frenzy……..what a combination.

The pop-ups look the bizz and the dips are a thick viscose glug that should stick on everything ! More boilies are available on site should you wish to purchase any extra as is the particle range available at Bill's Lake.

We also have the new "t" shirts and the "Hoodies" which are a limited edition supply for 2004. Don't be seen without one "get Sorted".!? These are going on sale from the start of the season and work out at 12 euros for a "t" shirt available in L and X/L and 28 euros for a "Hoodie" available in X/L and XX/L. We hope to get some pictures of them soon.

The new fish have all arrived and are settling in well (that well we haven't seen them!?) The Sturgeon and the Catfish along with the new carp, should all make fishing this year a little, or a lot, more fun. Ruth and I can't wait for the first angler to hook up with one of the Catfish !!!!

All the works around the lake are coming to a welcome end and this will make all the swims a lot safer and easier to fish. The cabin is all ready and the kitchen is going in as I write this article.
The only thing left to do is find the 2 pontoons that we put in at Tree Tops and re enstall them as they floated off in the floods!!!! The first anglers are due the middle of March so I'll keep you posted on their exploits.

That's all for now so….. tight lines to those who are….. and happy dreaming to those who aren't!

Bill and Ruth.
