Dear Bill and Ruth

On behalf of myself and my friend We would just like to say a big thank you for a fantastic weeks fishing on lake 1.
The food was great and you both made us feel very welcome.
The fishing started ok with us banking 3 mid to high twenty's and a double in the first few days.
However on the tuesday i decided to move into the bench swim as the fish seem to have moved out of the swim i was in but john was still having a few fish and his head started to grow.
The first night went slow for me and john had banked another twenty.
It was on the wednesday and it started to kick off in my swim and slow down in johns it was mid day and i banked a new pb mirror of 51.12 i also banked a double the same day john took a new pb mirror of 43.
Midnight on the wednesday came and it went mental in my swim the fish just kept coming for the rest of the week.
I ended the week with a 45.8 mirror / 44.8 mirror / 51.12 mirror / 37 grass / 33.12 common / 32 common /eight mid to high
Twenty's and three doubles. john ended the week with a new pb of 43 / 5 mid to high twenty's/ and two doubles .
The fishing was amazing john broke his pb. And i also broke mine three times.
We had an amazing 700 pound of carp between us that week.

Caught a new p.b. Weather not good. would have liked to have caught a few more fish but that's fishing ! Thanks Chris.

Had a very good week. Quite a few hook pull...don't know whether it was bad luck or bad fisherman??? Broke my p.b. twice. Thanks very much. Ian.

Bills Lake 3
Hi guys,
What a week!
After arriving in a comatose state, we decided to go shopping, get set up and go to bed. No fishing on Saturday.
On Sunday morning, after a good look around to find some likely spots, the traps were set.
After a slow start, Sunday night produced 2 mid doubles, while all around there were "lumps" crashing.
The days were hot and the carp had another go at spawning so we were not expecting too much. Monday night and a tiddler of 6lb and finally a 24lb 6oz took the bait.
The weed in the lake did present a few problems which were overcome by cutting back the lead clips and fishing close. We didn't need the boat at all.
At the end of the week we had a respectable tally of quality fish, we lost as many too, totalling 24 carp (mostly mid 20's), 4 tench and 3 sturgeon, the best of which were mirrors of 29.11 and 40.02 and a cracking PB common of 33.09.
The hospitality was excellent and the facilities, kitchen and shower, were first class. I would recommend this lake for anyone who wants plenty of runs but is willing to take on the challenge of the weed.
Thanks to Bill and Ruth for another fantastic week. Will definitely be back.
