Bills Lake 2 - Overview
At 3.75 acres and with an average depth of 3.5 metres this lake is very Intimate. Those wishing to be loud and noisey often suffer with those who are more "water wise" catching the better bags of fish. The lake is let on an “exclusive use basis” with a maximum of 4 anglers fishing at any one time. The rendez-vous point is at Bill's Lake 1 at 11.00a.m. on the Saturday morning and your group will be guided to the lake from there. The departure time is 9.00 am the following Saturday morning.

Swims
This lovely little lake is very popular with the small group of friends wanting to fish together. The fishing though is very specific, as with the presence of Poisson Chats the use of boilies in the warmer weather can be futile. The way to catch is to use particle bait such as tiger nuts, Maize, brazil nuts, cashews or any artificial bait like plastic corn. Rock hard air dried boilies can work well and the use of boilie protection sleeves has proved very effective. There are now available many new baits to combat these nuisance fish and not let them spoil your fishing.Click here to see the swims.
Fish
The lake is well stocked with all manner of fish and with the lake being relativly small you would think it would be very easy to fish. The stock in this carp lake is enormous with 250 Carp, 30 Catfish, 2 Sturgeon, numerous Grass Carp and 6 Koi Carp with a lake record carp of 47lb+Click here to see the fish.
Facilities
Set in the middle of the countryside this lake is only 5 minutes from the main lake where hot showers and toilets are free for you to use and are available all day. Hoverev, Bill's Lake 2 has a fishing hut with picnic table so you can cook and eat in comfort plus there is a separate porta loo toilet.Click here to see the facilities.
River Fishing
A popular feature at Bill's Lakes is the River Marne. This river is full of fish and shoals of Chub and Barbel can even be seen from the margins. It also holds some huge carp and cats for those who want to try. It requires a slightly different approach to lake fishing but carp gear will be fine to catch fish from the river. We sell permits at the lake for those interested.Local Area
