Lake Report - Apr 2005
Bill's Lake 1
The lake is proving to be a little difficult for some but for others it is Bonanza time with not one but two Fifties coming out in the month of March !!!!
The second fish was taken by one of our first Dutch anglers Ronnie de Troyer. This monster took a single home-made 18mm boilie from a close margin.
The other anglers have had reasonable results for the time of year and a few good fish have graced their nets. The average size of fish seems to be very high with hardly any of the usual smaller fish who feed early in the season showing at all. Have the Catfish eaten them or have they now grown to be “real” sized fish???
Bill's Lake 2
Well…in contrast to the main lake this little gem has fished its socks off !!!
The first group of three brothers caught “45” fish in their 7 days fishing with only 4 fish being under 20lbs !!!
The best methods seemed to be large baiting with Halibut and Bill’s Lake pellet, boilies and particle. If they tried smaller baits and p.v.a. bags they didn’t get the runs !!!
All the fish were caught on the 18mm.Ace Baits Fish Frenzy Bill’s Lake Specials. All were taken from the far margins but many other fish were seen around the lake. No Catfish were seen but were fished for.
Cheers for all,
Bill.
